The Geno/Grinder® - Plant & Tissue Homogenizer

The Geno/Grinder is specifically designed for vigorous up-and-down shaking of deep well titer plates or sample tubes up to 50mL. It provides an efficient mechanism for plant and animal tissue homogenization or cell lysis for the extraction of DNA, RNA, enzymes, proteins and pesticides. Cryogenic accessories allow the user to homogenize temperature sensitive or tough samples.

QuEChERS Sample Preparation for GC-MS & LC-MS Analysis

QuEChERS is a sample preparation technique that simplifies the analysis of pesticide residues or other organic contaminants or compounds of interest. Cryogenic Grinding of Candy Corn in the FreezerMill®

Some samples are impossible to grind at ambient temperatures. The Freezer/Mill® is a programmable cryogenic grinder specifically designed for milling and grinding of tough or temperature sensitive samples. Samples are placed in sealed cryogenic grinding vials then immersed in liquid nitrogen (LN). The samples are cooled to cryogenic temperatures then ground by a magnetically shuttling impactor.

 

Freezer/Mill® for RoHS WEEE Applications

Many components such as circuit boards, wire, solder, polymers and resins are difficult if not impossible to grind using traditional methods. Cryogenic grinding in the Freezer/Mill® is the easiest way to homogenize these materials for RoHS WEEE applications. Using cryogenic grinding to chill samples until they are brittle, and then break them up through impact, crushing, or shearing allows the toughest samples to be ground.

6875D Freezer/Mill®-High Throughput Cryogenic Grinder

The 6875D Freezer/Mill® is a high-throughput, dual chamber cryogenic grinder with a self-contained liquid nitrogen tub and insulated case. It chills samples in liquid nitrogen then pulverizes them with a magnetically driven impactor. It accommodates samples in the 0.1 gram to 100 gram range per grinding chamber.
