(6883) Mid-Size Low-Chrome Grinding Vial Set

For grinding electronic components to test for chromium under RoHS/WEEE directives. Low-chrome end plugs and impactor, polycarbonate center cylinder. Sample capacity up to 25 mL (40 g). Supplied with three extra center cylinders.

Requires (6887) Mid-Size Grinding Vial Adapter for grinding in the (6875) Large Freezer/Mill® and (6875D) Large, Dual Freezer/Mill®.

  • Grinds one sample at a time in the Large Freezer/Mill® when used with the 6886 mid-size grinding vial adapter.
  • Sample grinding capacity 3 – 25 grams.
  • Specifically designed to grind electronic components for RoHS/WEEE compliance testing.
  • End plugs and impactor are made of low-chrome ASTM 06 steel to eliminate chromium contamination during grinding.
  • Withstands liquid nitrogen temperatures.
  • Closed grinding vial prevents sample cross-contamination, retains volatiles, and controls hazardous or critical samples.
  • Transparent plastic center cylinder allows visual checking of the grinding process.
  • Low-chrome steel end plugs and impactor are autoclavable and reusable.
  • Polycarbonate center cylinders are disposable or may be cleaned with hot water and detergent.
  • Compatible with 6804 Large Extractor/Vial Opener when used in conjunction with 6884 Mid-Size Grinding Vial Adapter.
