Geology and Mining

Geology is the primary Earth science and deals with the composition of Earth materials, structures and processes. It is also concerned with the origins of the planet and how the planet has changed over time. Geologists search for fuels and minerals, study natural hazards, undertake geological surveys and work to protect Earth's environment. Mining & quarrying activity deals with the extraction of materials from the environment, and the chemical composition of commodities needs to be measured for QC & commercial purposes.
